Petr Vronský, originally very successful young violinist, began his career of a conductor in 1971 in The Opera of Plzeň,  from where he moved to Ústí nad Labem as a head of the opera ensemble. Number of success in conductor competitions in Prague (1970), in Besancon (1971) and in Berlin (Competition of H. von Karajan, 1973) was crucial for his artistic progress. In 1978 he became a conductor and from 1983 to 1991 he was working as a head conductor of The State Philharmonic Orchestra in Brno. His „Brno period“ he also devoted to pedagogical activities at JAMU. Between years 2002 and 2005 he was working as a head conductor of The Janacek´s Philharmonic Orchestra in Ostrava. Petr Vronský is regularly beeing invited to conduct prominent orchestras of all over the world, he also cooperates with the most notable orchestras of our country (The Czech  Philharmonic Orchestra, The Symphonic Orchestra FOK, The State Philharmonic Orchestra Brno, SOČR) and the most significant opera stages in the Czech Republic (The National Theatre Prague, The State Opera Prague, The Janacek´s Opera Brno)and also abroad (The Chamber Opera Wienna). Since 2005 Petr Vronský has been working as a head conductor of The Moravian Philharmonic.
