Chamber Matinee with Mozart and Dvořák

13. 5. 2023

Mozart Hall, 11.30
MO

The MFOpen Chamber Matinee will feature Mozart's Flute Quartet No. 1 in D major, one of the most beautiful works of its genre. You will hear Dvořák's popular String Quartet No. 12 in F major ̶0;American”, which is a triumph of the composer's astonishing sense of melody, pure musicianship and disarming immediacy. He wrote it in the midst of nature, in the environment where he felt most at home, and in the company of all his children who had come to America for the holidays. For this occasion, the aforementioned compositions will be performed by MFO members Eliška Honková – flute, Alena Hanousková – violin, Jindřich Novotný – violin, Kangkang Sun – viola and Nikita Ruzhavinsky – cello.
