Film Music Across the Meridians
Soundtracks by leading film composers often go beyond their role as mere accompaniment and stand up brilliantly as compositions in their own right. Authentic film music by composers such as Karel Svoboda, Goran Bregović and Ennio Morricone stands out for its emotional depth, captivating melodies and distinctive rhythms. It is so authentic and evocative that it has become exceptionally popular and is frequently performed on concert stages.
The first Philharmonic Music Salon will open with performances by two chamber ensembles – the wind trio El GonzAles and the string quartet Kafe kvartet. Their performances will offer two completely different worlds of sound and a colourful showcase of film music, ranging from popular melodies from Czech films to music from international blockbusters.
