Educational activities for schools

The mission of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc also includes education of the general public, especially children and the younger generation of listeners. The main aim of the concerts for schools is to introduce children to the musical tradition in the Czech Republic and Europe, to introduce them to individual musical instruments and the orchestra’s activities. Our music programmes introduce children to basic music theory or Italian musical terminology in an accessible and entertaining way. However, the most important thing that the young generation should take away from our school concerts is the joy of music and its performance. Older children and students are also invited to attend public rehearsals in the morning, or can attend evening concerts for a discounted admission fee.
